Boarding options range from traditional kennel suites with fixed turnout schedules to home-style facilities and overnight care integrated with daytime playgroups. Properties differ significantly in night staffing, outdoor run sizes, and whether private exercise time is included or billed per activity. Reviewing facility routines and drop-off policies helps narrow down the right environment before booking.

Good to know
What is the typical nightly cost for dog boarding?
Rates typically range from $40 to $80 per night for standard accommodations, though high-demand holiday weeks and luxury suites can cost more. Additional services like individual walks, webcams, or medication administration are often billed as add-on fees.
Are dogs left unsupervised overnight?
Staffing models vary by business. Some facilities maintain 24-hour awake staff on site, while others rely on alarm systems, cameras, and fire suppression after final evening check-ins. It is best to ask each provider directly about their overnight coverage.
Can I bring my dog's regular food and bedding?
Most places prefer that you bring pre-portioned meals from home to prevent digestive upset. Guidelines on personal blankets, beds, and toys vary by facility to ensure items can be safely kept and sanitized.
